Current needs for kids and their families locally include:
- Tutoring assistance for a 3rd grade boy
- Backpacks
- Cash donations to Refuge account at Cashmere Valley Bank
- Local businesses who would donate free or reduced prices on entertainment or necessities for children in poverty, emergencies, or for WhyTry groups, Lunch Buddies, and/or foster children to enjoy for bonding experiences (Waterslides passes, haircuts, senior pictures, swim lessons, massages, dance classes, cooking lessons, etc.)
- Volunteers who would be willing to be Lunch Buddies (people who eat lunch with an elementary student once a week)
- Volunteers who would be willing to be WhyTry leaders (people who attend training, then work with middle school and high school students in Chelan Schools)
